India is a large and continuously growing OTT market, with many platforms offering various types of content to their audience. JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar currently hold a small market share with minimal dominance separately. To create dominance in the Indian OTT market and reach out to the masses, they are merging their platforms to offer a diverse range of content, including sports, especially live cricket matches, TV shows, kids shows, and movies across various genres. Their strategy seems to be succeeding, as they are targeting the personal entertainment interests of every consumer.
Below, I am mentioning some movies available to watch on Hotstar, now officially JioHotstar. These are my personal recommendations that you can explore if you have a subscription.
1. Munjya – (Hotstar Movie)
A young hairdresser, Bittu, travels to his ancestry’s village, where he learns about his family history and a legend of Munjya, a restless spirit with an unfulfilled desire for marriage. Tragically, Bittu became the victim of Munjya, and now he has to get rid of it and also save his love from the spirit. (Available movies to watch on Hotstar)

2. Deadpool & Wolverine – (Hotstar Movie)
At the end of the previous part, we see Deadpool Tampering with the timeline. Now in the present, he is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority. Where he discovers the universe is in an existential crisis due to the absence of Wolverine, whose existence is crucial to its stability.
