I have shortlisted some Best underrated Films which I consider The Great Movies Underrated.
Here are some of The Best underrated movies which are The Most Underrated films or Most Overlooked films. I call these Best Movies underrated because I think people don’t talk much about them and they are kind of unrecognisable.
1st and 6th are my personal favorite ‘The Great Underrated films’
So in the year 2025 if you are looking to watch something different, here are some Most underrated Movies or Most Overlooked Movies(worldwide) in my opinion.
1. The Mummy (1999)
A Group of treasure seekers find themselves in trouble after they accidentally wake a cursed mummy.
The story begins when an ex soldier meets a sibling who was interested in the ancient city of Hamunaptra, midway they meet a group of treasure seekers, and together, they unknowingly awaken a mummy who starts to cure himself and gets back to life by killing the people through which he wakes.
Most Underrated Movie i know, Movie is full of Adventure, Action and Comedy. It takes you to another world of fantasy. Amazing Storyline and Scenes with great direction.
One of The Most Underrated Action Adventure Movie.

Two Best friends David and Efraim become Ammunition Dealers to get more money, they realise it’s not that easy but full of Adventure.
The Story begins when two friends David and Efraim meet after a long time, David was not earning much so Efraim offered him to join his Ammunition business, They start their adventures and eventually they get a 300 Million Dollar contract from the US Government.
Based on a True Story.
One of the Best Underrated Movie, The Movie is full of Action and comedy Scenes, The troubles they face and the dialogues makes every moment funny.
One of The Amazing Underrated Action-Comedy film in the market.

3. (500) Days of Summer
Underrated Romantic Movie, A boy falls in love with a girl who does not believe in relationships.
Tom and Summer spend around a year together. Tom realises that now he is in love with Summer. She, on the other hand, does not believe in love. Tom keeps remembering the amount of time he has spent with her and how he can make summer realise his love.
One of Great Underrated Movie in Romantic Genre, The story revolves around Tom, who tries to figure out a way to make summer his. He often listens to advice from his friends
“This is not a love story, It’s a story about love.”
Most Overlooked Movie in the Category of Romantic Movies.

Jaguar Paw and his small tribal family living their tribal life and a day their whole life changes.
The story showcases Maya civilisation, A small Tribal community that includes a small family of Jaguar having a good time than one day they get attacked by a Slave seeking attackers, The attackers destroy the tribe, slave the tribals and take them with them for their own good, jaguar somehow manages to hide his pregnant wife and son but got caught by the attacker he is trying hard to escape out of it.
A Underrated film which is also Magnificent, The Movie takes you to the Mayan Civilisation and will make you experience the unimaginable and oppressive life of a tribal.
Most Underrated and Overlooked Movie, Not many People know about it.

A Force of Professionals got a mission to get a suitcase back from the hands of some powerful people.
A Task Force led by Former U.S. Intelligence officers work for their own needs, and one day they get hired by some to get back a suitcase of their client which is very important and is about to be sold to some Russian People. The situation is not like how it appeared.
An Underrated Action, Crime-Thriller Movie.
Best Underrated Movie in action thriller Genre this is full of action thrillers and plots, which is a must watch for plot twist movie lovers.
One of The Great Underrated Film also it’s must watch for every Robert De Niro Fan.

A War Veteran is sent to Mars without concern where he experiences unusual things.
The Movie starts when John Carter gets locked up because he refused to rejoin the army but he escapes and somehow is sent to Mars where he finds out that being human is so powerful and capable of doing high-capability tasks and Mars is not in a peaceful situation.
The Most Overlooked film, John Carter is a war veteran who wants to live an ordinary life, but his destiny wants him to witness the paranormal.
Everyone who is looking for Best Underrated Movie in Sci-fi Genre, this is for you.

So this was my list of some worth watching Underrated Movies worldwide. This includes a few years old to almost 3 decades old movies which are timeless masterpieces.
Also these movies are for every taste like Romance, Adventure, Action, Comedy, Thriller, Science fiction, Crime, Biography and Drama.
